Wedges

Bounce cannot rewind a bottom that already happened

If the leading edge arrives behind the ball, extra bounce is a thicker shovel. If the edge arrives late, extra bounce is a skip. We mark low-point first. Grind is the last stamp on the sheet, not the first conversation at the wall.

Full shots, then chips, never mixed on one strip

A 50-yard bruise and a full-swing bruise are different animals. We change tape between them. Golfers who “need more bounce around the green” often have a perfectly fine full-shot low-point and a chip that bottoms early because the handle stalls. That is not a grind problem.

Yakima bunkers are often firm-lipped and short on fluff. We can talk camber after the plate from grass is honest. Sand is not a separate religion here; it is a firmer version of the same location question.

What we will still change on a wedge

Loft gapping, length, lie, and only then sole grind. If three marks already sit on the ball with your current bounce, we leave the stamp alone and spend the hour on the next wedge in the set. Buying four new soles because a colorway landed is not a service we offer.
