Questions

Read this before you burn gasoline from the Tri-Cities

The desk fields the same dozen notes. If your question is “can you just order what I saw on a phone,” the answer is still: tape first.

Before you book

Does a dry Yakima lie read differently than a coastal course?

Yes. Soft turf lets a late low-point hide. Baked valley turf prints it. That is why we exist in this city instead of pretending a west-side fitting will travel over the pass.

Should I mention my course’s irrigation clock?

Please. A 7 a.m. tee time on wet Kikuyu and a 2 p.m. tee time on the same hole are different plates. We will bias the firm plate if you play afternoons.

Do you mark the mat or the sole?

Both. Tape on the plate is the location. A washable sole paint is the face story. We throw away hero swings that only look pretty on the face.

Why isn’t bounce the first thing you change on a wedge?

Because bounce cannot move a low-point that already happened. If the bruise is behind the ball, more bounce is a thicker shovel. Read the ridge note if you want the longer version.

How far is the bay from I-82?

A few minutes once you are headed downtown. Suite 6 is on S 3rd, south of Yakima Avenue. Saturday curb fills; weekdays are kinder.

Do you see left-handed golfers or send them away?

We keep a left-handed shortlist in every category. Rare heads may need freight. We say that before you leave Pasco, not after you park.

Once a slot exists

What if I only want proof my irons already bottom correctly?

That is a legitimate Dust Read. Plenty of sheets end with “keep the set, stop chasing grind.” We still charge for the hour; the plate is not a free second opinion booth.

Is Sunday really shut, or can I knock?

Shut. Monday too. Recuts and freight live on those days. Knocking will get you a dark glass door and a note to email the desk.

Can a playing partner watch?

Yes, from the chairs, not from the plates. They do not get a free swing on your clock unless you booked a Canal Pass with two names — we do not do that. One golfer per booking.

Do you ship heads, or only assemble in the bay?

Tomas assembles here. We will not mail a loose head as a workaround for skipping the plate. If you live in Richland, pickup on a weekday evening before six is the usual path.
